"It is not the ship so much as the skillful sailor that assures the prosperous voyage." George William Curtis
Captain Bruce White has been a part of the Boothbay Harbor waterfront for many years. When he was just two weeks old, his parents took him for his first boat ride, and let's just say, he has been hooked ever since.
Over the years, Bruce's passion for being around boats grew and at the tender age of 14, Bruce started his passenger-carrying career serving under the local legend, Captain Elliot Winslow, aboard his historic Boothbay Harbor tour boat, Argo. Bruce obtained his captain's license by the time he was 19 years old and is licensed by the US Coast Guard for vessels up to 100 tons.
Bruce spends his summers aboard the charter vessel HAY-VAL and the fishing vessel Lady Esther chartering tours and giving lobster fishing demonstrations to visitors of the region.
In the winter, you may see him cruising up and down the East Coast delivering yachts from their summer climate to their winter berths. When not around the "hull", Bruce takes a weekend here and there to enjoy the incredible ski slopes of Western Maine.
Captain Bruce White is a proud member of the National Association of Charterboats Operations
